A new and exciting opportunity has become available for Embedded Software Engineer job, based in Glasgow required to join one of the global market leaders in medical and scientific industries. The Embedded Software Engineer will join our small team of software engineers developing a Ethernet switch management suite. The role will initially focus on the test and validation aspects of development, where the innovative testing solutions currently in use require augmentation and improvement. After this has been established the candidate may transition towards a development and support role. A background in Ethernet, protocol development and test would be an advantage.Essential Skills needed for the Embedded Software Engineer job include: - Experience in developing Software using C/C++.- Strong Communication Skills. - Experience in Developing Software for Linux Based Platforms. - Degree in Software Development, Electronics or other relevant fields.During their employment, the Embedded Software Engineer will be given the opportunity to work on and learn:- Knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP and other advanced networking protocols.- Further training and development of Software and Programming Skills. - Development Experience in a GNU/Linux environment.
