Job Description

Electronics Design Engineers (Senior/Mid) - Glasgow (Hybrid WFH)Loriens highly successful Glasgow based client is a market leader in the creation and provision of cutting-edge technical solutions and products to a variety of customers around the globe and across a range of industries including medical research, renewableenergy and more. The company has grown strongly and consistently over the past ten years, even through times of global economic slowdown, and they have a healthy product development pipeline which will enable this growth to continue in the future.On the back of a boom in business demand, they are now in the process of significant internal investment including the renovation of their core Research and Development centre. As well as this, theyre now looking to add several new recruits into their team- just like someone we introduced ourselves who loves the place already - including Senior and Mid-level Electronics Design Engineers.Heres an outline below to give you an insight of some of the duties involved, and in return for your efforts they are happy to offer not only hybrid remote working arrangements, but flexible start and end times to work around your routine plus early finishesevery Friday and a wide range of other great people-focused benefits on top of competitive salaries.

  • Cooperate as part of the product development team and perform duties across the spectrum from electronics design to production release and support, of our cutting-edge systems and products
  • Designing electronic circuits and assemblies from concept to production release and maintenance
  • Debugging, simulation and validation of electronic and system designs
  • Testing and reporting results into the Development team
  • Reliability and regulatory testing of products whilst creating technical documentation
  • Transferring design data sets to production for manufacturing and support during product lifecycle
Heres some of the skills theyre looking for:
  • Proven track record in microcontroller, mixed digital and analogue electronic circuit design
  • Thorough product design from specification through to delivery, with consideration for DFT and DFM with practical experience in Schematics Capture and PCB Design Tools
  • Intermediate understanding debugging skills, ability to integrate and validate electronic and system designs
  • Understanding in EMC / LVD regulatory testing and product design approval process
  • Ideally but not necessarily design knowledge in STM32F series ARM core processors and test equipment development
