As an Electrical Engineer, you will work closely with our Water Team and be based at Stepps within our CWA Framework. You will be expected to deliver a high calibre of technical quality, contribute to bids, and converse with clients and collaborators in designand planning. You will seek innovation and trial new methods, being inquisitive by nature. You will see delivery through from conception to handover. You will be responsible for the design of the Electrical elements of infrastructure water and wastewater assets including Clean Water Pumping Stations, CSOs, Waste Water Pumping StationsThis role will include site visits where you will carry out site surveys and support liaisons with clients, government authorities, contractors, suppliers. You will be tasked with delivering to agreed budget, programme and quality along with supporting thepreparation of project budget & programme.Minimum Requirements

  • Able to take full responsibility for producing, checking reports and designs
  • Ability to coordinate, liaise and engage with clients and key stakeholders
  • Experience in Electrical design for Water & Waste Water Infrastructure projects
  • Experience of projects with multi-disciplinary knowledge.
  • Water and wastewater treatment & Infrastructure project experience across feasibility, outline, detailed design and construction support.
  • Production of specications, calculations (cable calculations) and WIMES data sheets
  • Production into detailed design drawings, Single Line Diagrams, Cable Block Diagrams & Electrical plant layouts.
  • Production of process and instrument diagrams, control philosophy and HAZOP review
  • Sound knowledge of WIMES Specications and UK water companies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A degree or equivalent in Electrical engineering
  • Membership of/Working toward a relevant professional chartered institute; for example, IET
