Job Description

Due to the anticipated response to these posts the 1st 75 application forms will be accepted and the post will close thereafterGreater Glasgow and Clyde (GGC) Out of Hours Service (OOH) is an out of hours emergency medical service operating within the Glasgow and Clyde area. GG&C OOH Service provide both a doctor home visiting service as well as consultation and treatment from PCEC based in – Victoria, Queen ElizabEUH, Stobhill, Easterhouse Health Centre, Vale of Leven Hospital, RAH and Greenock Health Centre. Each site is staffed by at least one doctor, one nurse, one receptionist and a security person. GEMS also provide a Patient Transport service. The out of hour’s service is supported by staff based in Caledonia House – both clerical and clinical which work both in and out of hours. You will drive the Patient Transport Vehicle to pick up patients and their carers to take to the Primary Care Emergency Centres (PCECs) and return them home following consultation with the medical clinicians at the PCEC. Taking account of driving conditions and safely within current road traffic regulations.You should have acurrent driving licence, knowledge of Glasgow Geography and motor systems. You should have good IT skills and good communication skills. You should be able to work on your own initiative. There are various shifts pattern for this post but it will be worked within the core hours of Monday – Friday 5.45pm – 8.00am and Saturday – Sunday - Flexible shift patterns available as this is a 24 hour serviceInformal Contact: Gemma Blair, Service Support Manager, Tel NoDetails on how to contact the Recruitment Service can be found within the Candidate Information Packs .
