Denholm is pleased to be working with a premium spirits company, who are currently looking to recruit a Distillery Operations Manager to join their growing team in Glasgow.This is an exciting opportunity which will involve managing the Distillery production & operations including supply chain management from raw materials to final product delivery.Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• To be responsible for supply chain management within the distillery from raw material to final product delivery.
• To be responsible for the management of the Production and Operations team against key performance and delivery targets
• To manage the implementation of the production strategy in conjunction with the Distillery & Brands Director.
• To ensure all practices within the distillery are fully compliant with Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations.
• To manage and maintain full HMRC compliance across production and stock movement processes.
• To ensure a safe working environment is maintained for all staff and visitors.
• To manage the distillery maintenance program for the safe operation of production equipment and associated services.
• To be responsible for the achievement of industry accreditation and adherence to distributor and customer quality compliance standards and audit processes.
• To be responsible and work with the Distillery & Brands Director to develop cost efficiencies across production, operation and logistical areas.
• To be responsible for the management of all stock and raw materials
• To be responsible for the Quality Management in areas of sourcing, quality control, traceability and testing.
• To be responsible for all distillery and stock and finished goods reporting requirements.
• To be responsible for internal process audits and operational compliance.
• To be responsible for maintaining incident management and product recall processes.
• To manage supply chain process from production, maturation to bottling of finished product and stock, including waste management.
• To manage and motivate the Production & Operations team to ensure maximum employee engagement, training and development.

Key skills and experience we are looking for:

• 5-7 years experience in operational leadership roles, managing and developing people and teams.
• Demonstrable experience with operations and logistics, continuous improvement methodologies, as well as quality, safety and environmental practices.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to build and sustain excellent business relationships internally and externally.
• Strong business, financial, and analytical acumen.
• Demonstrable experiences of cost efficiency and management practices
• Ability to diagnose operational and logistical issues and problem solve solutions to increase operational efficiencies and cost control.
• Demonstrable Health & Safety knowledge with commitment to safe working practices.
• Demonstrable experience of industry and regulatory compliance practices
• Flexible, adaptable and calm when working under pressure.
