Role Title: Director, HR Transformation: 12-month Fixed Term Contract Location: Glasgow, UK What will you be doing: This role is accountable for shaping and delivering HR strategy through a programme of transformation work; leading a team of HR transformation professionals deployed in advising and delivering specific projects across multiple HR transaction cycles. Key Accountabilities The role holder will need to adapt to provide the support required for each programme of work, but accountabilities include: • Engage with HR leadership to design and deliver strategic HR programmes • Lead the HR transformation practise, ensuring that programme and project outputs deliver in-line with the desired functional design, across multiple dimensions, including technology • Build capabilities within the HR Optimisation team to facilitate the constant transformation towards a world class function in line with Barclays standards • Partner with senior leaders in support of 3-5 years roadmap of HR change • Budget ownership for programmes of work and risks associated with it • Lead projects from initiation to closure, handover to BAU and benefits realisation / measurement • Prepare and seek approval for HR Optimisation business cases, taking into account information on benefits, costs, risks, resources and timescales • Establish appropriate governance structures to resolve or escalate risks and issues in line with established Barclays standards • Own stakeholder management of key executive stakeholders to enable successful implementation and adoption • Facilitate negotiation/mediation between different stakeholders to aid decision making process • Manage external vendors as required from time-to-time in line with Barclays standards and assuring their delivery What were looking for: • Chartered Member of CIPD • HR Technology market knowledge with experience in Oracle, Workday or SAP SuccessFactors • Ability to shape, influence and drive execution of the HR change agenda • Experience of working at a senior level in a complex environment, managing multiple transformation projects with a range of stakeholders • Significant direct experience leading and delivering large scale HR transformational change, and the ability to convey a compelling and engaging vision of change • Demonstrable deep understanding of end-to-end HR transformation methodologies and approaches • Ability to negotiate and solicit engagement at all levels of the organisation, and strong experience of working with senior stakeholders • Evidence of handling highly complex organisational matters and difficult situations with diplomacy and tact • Strong facilitation skills and ability to challenge others to think differently Skills that will help you in your role : • Board/C-Suite level stakeholder management experience • Experience in designing and implementing HR Service Delivery Strategy • Demonstrable knowledge, skills, and experience across a range of subject areas, for example organisation design, process design, recruitment, learning and payroll • Work with Technology teams to execute on operating model, organisation design and change management strategies • Business process design - planning, documentation, and facilitation of design sessions • Proven experience of HR process review and redesign, ideally in a global context
