Job Description

My client is a leading Investment Wealth Management organisation, they are building a new wealth management service for next generation clients; to help them plan and manage their financial future. This service will combine the best of great digital productdesign and wealth management expertise, they are looking for superstar talent to join the team and help build the future.3 days per week on-site, in their Glasgow based office.As DevOps Engineer, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and deploy automated tool for patching and updating Azure VMs.
  • Start to embed the code once use often approach using clean code.
  • Create, roll out, and maintain a suit of standard machine images.
  • Start to develop central knowledge bank of technical documentation.
  • Automate, where possible, testing and deploying software releases.
  • Actively identify areas of improvement and own fixes.
  • Ensure security is the underpinning of any new process or approaches
To be successful in this role, you should:
  • Experience in a Cloud hosted DevOps/SRE/Platform Engineer role.
  • Strong experience working in Microsoft Azure, including, securing Azure environment, basic networking, and security.
  • Strong terraform skill, including ability to refactor existing code, module management and secret management
  • You have a good knowledge of CI/CD tools such Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
  • Understand automation using PowerShell and Bash.
  • Experience managing workflows using Jira, and technical documentation using Confluence
  • Experience with .NET development is a desirable but not necessary
  • An understanding of the problems faced by businesses that have recently migrated to the cloud would be a clear advantage.
