Job Description

DevOps EngineerRemote WorkingThe Recruitment Bunker are recruiting exclusively for a DevOps Engineer for a leading privately owned collection of diverse and dynamic forward-thinking companies based in Perth. As a DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for the design, development, testing,and deployment of products that strive to make a difference in the world and are at the vanguard of tackling fuel poverty across Scotland. Many of the products focus on heating efficiency harnessing technology to make peoples lives easier.Overview of the Role:

  • DevOps Engineer
  • Salary - £48,000 - £54,000
  • Holidays: 33 days (including statutory holidays)
  • Location - Remote
Responsibilities
  • Deploy and maintain critical applications on cloud-native microservices architecture
  • Implement automation, effective monitoring
  • Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
  • Support and work alongside a cross-functional data and engineering teams on the latest technologies
  • Iterate on best practices to increase the quality & velocity of deployments
  • Sustain and improve the process of knowledge sharing throughout the engineering team
  • Data extracts and reports on databases
  • Have on call responsibilities to deal with real-time issues
Essential Skills
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • 2+ years of professional experience as a DevOps / System Engineer
  • Expertise with Microsoft Azure
  • Experience implementing CI/CD (e.g., Azure DevOps)
  • Version control system experience (e.g., Git)
  • Experience maintaining and deploying highly available, fault-tolerant systems at scale
  • A drive towards automating repetitive tasks (e.g., scripting via Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc)
  • Excellent judgment, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment
  • Expertise with SQL, performance optimisation and maintenance
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and containerisation
  • Experience with data factories, data lakes and pipelines
