Job Description

Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit Deputy Spectator Manager for as soon as possible until 18th August 2023 on a rate of £220 per day PAYE. This role will be based onsite.Responsibilities:- Validation of delivery partner implementation plans for spectator client group service levels through drawing and operational plan reviews. - Working with delivery partners and transport and safety colleagues to finalise estimated attendance figures across all events. - Assist with the finalisation of spectator guides and spectator website content, collating information from delivery partners and working closely with the Hub Marketing & Communications team. - Working closely with colleagues in the Commercial and Marketing & Communications departments, assist with the event-wide spectator access planning to ensure consistency in information provided across paid-for ticketed venues, free-ticketed venues, and free-to-accessvenues. - Work alongside ticketing operations colleagues to support in the finalisation and implementation of relevant policies and procedures.- Support with event time delivery of Spectator Services relevant operating plans, policies, and procedures.- Act as the relief manager for Spectator Services as required.- Act as support to the Spectator Manager for central fan zone concept; working with internal colleagues across the Policy, Commercial and MarComms departments to ensure alignment of goals and with external delivery partner to validate delivery plans and budget. - Assist in the central opening ceremony planning; working with the organisation and internal colleagues across the policy, commercial, marcomms, protocol and sport departments to ensure alignment of goals and with external delivery partner to validate deliveryplans and budget. - Input into any relevant workforce training and scheduling for the event as required.- Work closely with the Project Management Office in the setting, ongoing monitoring and final delivery of the agreed Key Performance Indicators attributed to the functional area. - Support the Spectator Manager in gathering information to provide reports as required to the event management team and governance boards including highlight reports, issues log, risk register and transfer of knowledge content. Essential Skills:- Experience working with multiple partners and stakeholders across public and private sector is essential.- Experience of working in Spectator Management at high-profile events.- Experience of delivery of sporting events is preferred. - Experience of managing service levels for key client groups. - Experience of working within a high-pressure environment, dealing with, and responding to, a variety of dynamic and demanding clients and/or stakeholders.- Existing knowledge of LOC structures and the wider range of functional areas involved in major sports events. - An understanding of the geography of Scotland and the various Local Authorities. - Knowledge of cycling events would be beneficial. - Highly collaborative, engages effectively with colleagues and takes the time to engage with team members to build rapport whilst demonstrating strong leadership skills. - High level of organisational skills and experience in managing multiple priorities simultaneously.- A methodical and analytical approach to completing work, with excellent attention to details. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style to diverse groups. - Ability to successfully deal with demands of an evolving organisational structure, remaining flexible, resilient, and positive through organisational growth and other challenges.
