Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow/Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit 4xDelivery and Engagement Specialists (Oracle Fusion) for an initial 6 month contract – with the potential to extend – on a rate of £350-£400/day(inside of IR35). Working remotely with occassional meetings in Edinburgh or Glasgow.Responsibilities:- Quickly build subject matter knowledge related to both the extant and new CoA (including supplementary sub-ledger detail)- Lead and influence customers through engagements to capture requirements for new CoA, as well as mappings from old to new values- Ensure that segment purpose and thin General Ledger principles are adhered to and that specified requirements are in line with target policy (considering also wider reporting and accounting implications)- Responsible for delivery of completed customer CoA templates within phased project timelines- Managing data quality issues through liaison with customers and implementation partners as required- Contributing to the management and development of supporting segment hierarchies- Contribute to related system implementation activities within the Record to Report function, such as General Ledger and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) configuration, reporting and data migration Essential Skills:- This is a finance related role but does not require a formal finance qualification. - Strong working knowledge of finance operating and reporting environments with a focus on finance systems. - Working knowledge of financial Chart of Accounts, including segment, reporting and accounting implications. - Ability to communicate complex financial and technical information to non-finance stakeholders. - Confident verbal and written communication, able to lead and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes that are within the parameters of defined policy. - Ability to work independently and prioritise own workload to meet project timelines, proactively assuring that stakeholder contributions are timely and of sufficient quality. - Comfortable managing data using basic Microsoft Excel functionality. Desirable Skills:- Experience of working within public sector in a central/ corporate finance environment, preferably within the Scottish Government.- Experience of working with Oracle financials.If you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
