A Data Scientist is urgently required for an exciting start-up business based at the heart of Glasgow City Centre who are revolutionising medical diagnosis. Having just been through a successful round of funding they plan on building out their Data team which in essential to the businesses success as they plan to go live with their products the coming years.YouStemming from a very strong academic background or with a couple of years of commercial experience you will be ready to hit the ground running, working in a very autonomous environment and not be afraid to question practices. Organisation and an eye for detail is essential in this position as your findings will be scrutinised directly by healthcare professionals and you will be required to answer any questions asked. Although the existing team is very collaborative you will be given the freedom to work on lone projects, providing you with the perfect platform to add value to the business from day one.What are the key responsibilities ** Individually leading projects throughout their entire lifecycle. ** Build new and work on existing Machine Learning Algorithms ** Work closely with the existing Development Team ** Create innovative solutions for a series of data issues Experience & Knowledge** Industry or academic experience working with large data sets. ** Expert knowledge in one or more programming languages (R, Python, C++ etc) ** Any experience in deploying Machine Learning Models into production is beneficial ** Ideally be able to demonstrate ability to produce comprehensive statistical reports ** Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsThis is an opportunity to on-board with a business who will be revolutionising the diagnosis of millions of patients worldwide and you will be the brains behind the operation.
