Job Description

Data Governance SpecialistContractCompetitive Daily RateGlasgowHRC Recruitment is supporting a global banking group recruiting a Data Governance Specialist to join a new team within the business.This division maintains relationships with various industry and government regulators, and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community.Responsibilities of the Data Governance Specialist:

  • Field Finance wide questions related to Data Policy
  • Conduct division-wide surveys
  • Prepare materials and present at various forums in Finance on data-related topics
  • Execute end to end data policy compliance for Data Policy
  • Work with risk leads and data champions to assess data related risks
  • Work with data champions and business process owners to score their processes
  • Work with business process owners and technology to prioritize data within processes and identify ownership sourcing, controls and authority
  • Engage Data Governance Committees around the firm for ownership of prioritize data
  • Ensure data owning DGC is documenting prioritized data in Collibra
    • Background of the Data Governance Specialist:
  • Ability to work with multiple global stakeholders
  • Confident in dealing with large stakeholder groups up to senior levels
  • Ability to take ownership of a project and drive it forward to completion
  • Experience in dealing with the implementation of data governance
  • Can be a true SME around Financial Data Governance
  • Experience in preparing high-quality reports and materials for audit purposes
