Job Description

My client is an established engineering organisation with major clients across a multitude of industries. They are currently looking for an experienced Customer Support Specialist for their base on the outskirts of Glasgow.Due to exciting developments for the business, and the prospect of continued growth, the Customer Support Specialist is a newly created role. It will combine the responsibilities for both sales and delivery across a number of existing client accounts. Therole will form part of the Customer Support Office (CSO), reporting directly to the Director of Business Operations. In addition to managing existing client accounts, new business opportunities will form part of the role where the successful candidate willbe expected to work closely with the Managing Director in developing new accounts.They are looking for an enthusiastic professional that enjoys a varied role and doesnt mind wearing multiple hats. Alongside customer care and client development, you will also get the chance in working with external stakeholders including local authorities,professional groups and industry boards allowing the business to keep up-to-date with industry news.Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing long-term, strategic relationships with key staff in client organisations
  • Assisting clients with their product and service requirements - facilitating access to subject matter experts internally and externally if / when appropriate
  • Identifying and responding to opportunities with potential clients - ensuring that the products and services offered will help the client achieve their business objective
  • Initiating procedures to improve service provided to clients
  • Monitoring the level of client service at regular intervals or after each significant service delivery
Qualifications / Experience required:
  • HNC / Degree in Business Administration or equivalent relevant experience
  • Experienced within similar position, and has demonstrated the ability to develop client relationships and improving business processes
  • Familiar with the techniques for ensuring that clients real and stated needs are fully understood when delivering a service or providing a product range
