As a Barclays Customer Service Advisor,you’ll be an essential contact for our customers, providing expert advice onthe products and services that will support them through some of the mostimportant moments of their lives. You’ll be encouraged to grow in your role andwork in new innovative ways. This is an exciting opportunity for you where youcan expect the training, development and digital skills you need to deliver theexcellence our customers expect.You will work 35 hours within the week,between 7am and 11pm Monday – Sunday on a rotational basis, the salary for theposition is £21,750. These positions are due to start in March 2021This is a hybrid role, meaning you will be expected to work a mixture of athome and in the office during your employment. At the beginning of yourassignment, you will need to be on-site to collect and setup your IT/equipment.This should be dealt with in a day or two, but may take longer. We will consider requests for locatingthe role at an alternative Barclays’ key UK office from that advertised.What will you be doing• Dealing with day-to-day banking enquiries from customers on the range ofproducts and services Barclays provide • Listening to customers’ needs, making them aware of products that may besuitable for them• Putting the customer at the heart of everything you do, aiming atproving the best advice• Understanding customers’ queries, looking at the situation fromdifferent angles to offer the best solutionWhat we’re looking for:• A genuine interest in our customers, and the ability to take personalresponsibility for providing great customer experience• The ability to make authoritative banking decisions that always put ourcustomers first• Excellent communication and influencing skills, and a collaborative,team-based approach to work • A good understanding of creative problem solving, and the confidence totake the initiative to permanently resolve potential issuesSkills that will help you in the role:• Experience of dealing with complex customer queries • Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Experience of operating in a customer-facing or telephony role whereservice is paramountWhere will you be workingWe’ve been in Scotland for 250 years, and our significance has never been asimportant as it is today.
