Job Description

CREDIT CONTROLLER - PERMANENT - GLASGOW - £21-24K PER ANNUMSearch Consultancy are currently looking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller for our client based in Glasgow city centre. You would be working in a close team of around 28 credit controllers, where you will be responsible for your own high-profile clients.This is a fast-paced environment where you are responsible for your own results, whilst being supported by your Manager and others in the team. You will be encouraged to build relationships with your clients and work closely with your Client Accountants, Treasuryand Managers in order to give your clients the best service possible. A high level of attention to details and a good knowledge of Excel is essential.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain database with accurate details to assist in pursuing arrears
  • Work with a minimum of supervision on the collection of overdue accounts
  • Acting pro-actively prior to deadlines in contacting regular late payers
  • Uses initiative to achieve targeted results, while promoting customer goodwill
  • Daily liaison with Cashiers to enable correct information is available
  • Reconciliation of accounts when necessary
  • Reporting directly to Clients on the progress of obtaining arrears
  • Other ad hoc duties as and when required
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Previous experience working in a busy in Credit Control team preferred
  • Professional telephone manner
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Clear communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy when required
  • Good IT skills
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Organised and able to work on own initiative
  • Able to prioritise and work under pressure
