Job Description

Position: Cost ControllerLocation: Glasgow (Hybrid)Salary Guide: £25,000 - £29,000 (DOE) Our client is a Tier 1 D&B Contractor operating predominately in the water industry, who are delivering a significant proportion of Scottish Waters AMP7 programme of clean and wastewater non-infrastructure projects throughout the Scotland.They are recruiting for a Cost Controller to join their team in Glasgow where you will be reporting to the Cost Manager and the Head of Finance. You will be verifying costs with vendors and suppliers, estimating expenditures, and recommending cost-savingmeasures to upper management.Your duties/responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Input weekly plant tickets into IFS/Oracle and excel plant return
  • Review Purchase Order Status Report with site teams for missing tickets.
  • Produce weekly cost reports and distribute to site teams / SSC.
  • Checking and using WBS Coding Structure.
  • Invoice Query resolution - liaise with suppliers, procurement department, site & SSC.
  • Review aged plant accruals.
  • Review site plant books and supplier live hire reports v`s plant report.
  • Adhoc duties as required by Cost Manager / Head of Finance
