Job Description

Control and Compliance Manager SOX FinanceWe have a new and exclusive opportunity for a Control and Compliance Manager to work on key control financial frameworks within this insurance brokerage client as they expand their SOX Finance compliance controls team in GlasgowRole details

  • Title- Control and Compliance Manager SOX Finance
  • Location- Glasgow with hybrid working model
  • Salary - £60-65k
  • key focus- responsible for developing & embedding comprehensive Control Frameworks across a financial back-office function
  • qualifications- CA, ACCA, ACA qualification, SOX AND Audit knowledge
As the Controls & Compliance Manager, you will have a key role in the development, review and testing of controls across this Insurer Broker function.The role will report directly to the Head Quality Assurance (QA) & Reporting and will be responsible for managing the governance and regulatory compliance of the IBA Department.As the Control and Compliance Manager SOX Finance, you will be responsible for developing & embedding comprehensive Control Frameworks across a financial back-office functionAs part of this, your role will include
  • Lead the review & development of SoPs across the function, to ensure process documentation is maintained and fit for purpose.
  • Lead SOX and SOP review process across the IBA department, recording non-adherence where applicable and collaborating with management to address failings.
  • Conducting Quality Assurance (QA) checks including departmental files assessments, process efficiency reviews and feedback any corrective action to the relevant parties.

  • CA, ACCA, ACA qualification with at least 5 years post qualification experience
  • SOX knowledge, required
  • Previous experience working in Financial Services management and/or insurance preferable.
