You will act as an advocate of process management, supporting the identification of improvement opportunities in all we do. Our Continuous ImprovementSpecialists work on Major Transformation Programmes, Change Projects, Automation Opportunities (RPA), and partner many different business areas to support continuous improvement activity company wide.If you love solving problems, making processes better and being at the forefront of where the business is heading then this could be the role for you.*** This is a hybrid role that requires travel to our Glasgow office once per week ***Why its an opportunity not to be wasted

  • Lead process work within programmes and projects, under our Biffa standard approach and governance.
  • Manage the delivery of projects with a particular process focus, using project management management best practice and Lean improvement skills.
  • Conduct process workshops and fact finding, engaging with business stakeholders to fully understand current processes and issues.
  • Produce data driven analysis of process performance to support the management and improvement of As Is processes, as well as inform any As2B design.
  • Design future state and improved business processes using best practices.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities as part of design and strive for best in class processes.
  • Responsible for understanding and documenting the KPIs, risks, controls and business rules relevant to the processes.
  • Work with process owners and wider Biffa colleagues to understand and improve processes and grow Lean thinking within our culture.
  • Define business requirements in order to build processes that deliver the needs of our colleagues and customers.
  • Ensure our processes are well documented and understood in end to end process maps.
  • Support business implementation and readiness plans and activities, through project planning, management and creation of procedures/SOPs where required.
  • Support the creation and delivery of change management activities such as change impact assessments, change action plans, training needs analysis and change readiness assessments.
Requirements
  • Lean Green Belt Qualified
  • Qualified Prince 2 Practitioner
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Development of end to end processes design from scratch and re-design
  • Wide ranging business experience covering multiple processes, departments and divisions
  • Confidence with process mapping tools, e.g. MS Visio / ARIS / Signavio or suchlike
  • Strong written and presentation skills
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and facilitate
  • Solution design skills (process, organisation & technology)
  • Pro active and driven to challenge current ways if working
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders
