An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dietitian, with an interest in multi-cultural health and community dietetics, to work as part of the Community Dietetic Service. This post will be based within the West Community Dietetic Team. This post will involve assessment and management of a range of conditions, e.g. diabetes, nutritional support, Irritable bowel syndrome, paediatrics and enteral feeding, etc. Patients assessed and advised in general out-patient clinics, own homes, Care Homes and virtual or by telephone. There is a significant element in this post that contributes to the Board’s health improvement agenda, therefore group patient education is a significant part of this role. This post also supports the planning and delivery of education and training for health care professionals, carers and staff from other agencies. This training includes a wide range of nutritional issues covering the entire life cycle and will have a particular focus on multi-cultural nutrition. You will be involved in the supervision, teaching, mentoring of student dietitians, dietetic support workers and clerical staff.A BSc in Human Nutrition & Dietetics and HCPC registration are essential. We are a friendly, supportive and forward thinking team. A current driving license is essential.
