Job Description

PAPYRUS is the national UK charity dedicated to the prevention of suicide and the promotion of positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in young people.Community Development Officer - GlasgowWe are looking to recruit 2 Community Development Officers to engage key partners and stakeholders in the region tailoring support, training and education to create suicide safer communities.To be successful in this role you will have:- Previous experience working in a community setting, delivering information and training sessions, leading workshops or educational activities- A proven track record of networking and building and managing effective relationships, tailoring the approach to meet the differing needs of the audience- Experience as a qualified ASIST Trainer or willingness to gain qualification and experience- Experience of using own initiative and creativity to develop a project, programme or area of work- The ability to travel to different locations across the England North area to attend meetings, events and deliver trainingSalary: £27,344 per annum (NJC SCP 18) progressing by annual increments to £30,151 per annum (NJC SCP 23)Benefits: You will receive 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays (pro rata for part-time workers), an attractive pension scheme, Simply Health membership and enhanced sick pay.
