Business Analyst Glasgow As a Barclays Business Analyst, you will be joining Markets Technology team within Client Money and Assets area. In your role, you will be instrumental in implementing ensuring co-ordination, planning, and performing analysis tasks for Barclays Reporting applicationsand regulations and managing internal domain resources for one or more components of a Programme. You will also act as a reviewer and quality gate for analysis output, and collaborate with IT to ensure root cause is addressed and right design is deliveredfor user requirements. What will you be doing • Providing support to the Lead Business Analyst, and helping to define approach in line with the strategic vision of the programme • Aligning to support a Project Manager • Defining analysis approach in line with the strategic vision of the programme and the preferred methodology of the organisation • Setting the team work ethic, dynamic, attitude through effective management, setting an example and acting as a benchmark • Articulating and presenting commercial effectiveness of requirement proposals within a project or initiative • Facing off to one or many businesses areas/SMEs understanding high level requirements and questioning where necessary • Working to elicit, validate and document systems requirements in either BRDs or user/feature stories depending on the SDLC in use by the development teams • Participating in the Design process coordinated by the Programme Management team, from Design approval to functional design completion What were looking for: • Adept at using Microsoft Office products with some experience using other software packages relevant to BA work • Basic SQL query skills • Good understanding of IB Trade Life Cycle, Reconciliations, Fails/breaks reporting, Ref Data, external sources • Excellent decision making and problem solving skills, and ability to collaborate with business and technology colleagues and teams to solve complex problems Skills that will help you in the role: • Degree level or equivalent education in a project management scientific, computer science, engineering, mathematical, financial or IT field is desirable but not essential • Business Analysis Accreditation(s) • Able to read/write BRD/FRD, and ability to wireframe/design requirements in a visual format. • Good understanding of JIRA tool Where will you be working Our new state-of-the-art Campus, right in the heart of Glasgow is a hub of creative collaboration.
