Job Description

Cloud Engineer - Site Resilience - AWS - Kubernetes Development & Deployment - Edinburgh / Glasgow Hybrid workingIm looking for a dedicated Cloud Engineer who thrives on developing and supporting resilient AWS & Kubernetes Platform solutions. Our client is a thriving SaaS organisation with offices in Glasgow & Edinburgh but serving clients globally.Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy cloud infrastructure using Kubernetes and other cloud technologies such as AWS EKS, Docker, and Prometheus.
  • Design and implement cloud infrastructure using infrastructure as code (IAC) tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform.
  • Write clean and well-documented scripts in Python, Go, or Bash to automate various cloud infrastructure tasks.
  • Provide technical leadership and support to other members of the engineering team.
  • Continuously monitor and improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud infrastructure.
Requirements:
  • Strong experience in the development and deployment of Kubernetes clusters.
  • Expertise in using CloudFormation and Terraform for infrastructure as code.
  • Excellent scripting skills in either Python, Go, or Bash.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS EKS or similar solutions.
  • Familiarity with Docker and Prometheus.
  • A passion for developing secure, resilient and highly available cloud infrastructure.
