The Nuclear Medicine Department at Gartnavel General Hospital is looking to appoint a Band 7 Clinical Scientist to support the delivery of general diagnostic Nuclear Medicine and PET and a wide ranging NM therapy service for both in-patients and out-patients.You will work in both the PET Centre and Nuclear Medicine where you will be involved in both diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine. This post is an exciting opportunity for you to develop skills across a range of modalities. It is anticipated that the departments will continue to expand their research profile and you will contribute to this interesting, non-routine, aspect of the work.The Nuclear Medicine Department at Gartnavel General Hospital operates on three sites, on the Gartnavel campus and provides a PET imaging and in-patient therapeutic service to the West of Scotland, serving patients from Dumfries to Stornoway. The department, which employs 32 staff, has 2 PET/CT scanners (with a 3rd scanner being planned), a SPECT/CT scanner, and a SPECT scanner. The PET service is supported by an on-site cyclotron (which is run separately).
