You will provide a Clinical Psychology Service to the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Pulmonary Rehabilitation/COPD service, based at West Glasgow Ambulatory Care Hospital and to The Pain Service based in Inverclyde; providing highly specialist psychological assessment and therapy at the same time as offering advice and consultation on clients’ psychological care to non psychologist colleagues and to other, non professional carers, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the Services policies and procedures. You will utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research within the area served by The Pulmonary Rehabilitation/COPD service and Pain Service. You will provide clinical and professional supervision to trainees undertaking Doctoral training. You will undertake service development within own area of practice. It is essential that you have a Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS or HCPC, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology are required.
