Post: CLINICAL FELLOW /GENERAL MEDICINE/ MEDICAL SPECIALTIES ST1+Base: glasgow royal infirmary Applications are invited for the post of clinical fellow in General Medicine and Acute Internal Medicine within Glasgow Royal Infirmary. Post is available from August 2020.These posts will offer excellent training opportunities within an excellent acute medicine department whilst gaining invaluable experience in general medicine.All major specialties are represented within Glasgow Royal Infirmary currently there 52 Consultant Physicians with special interests in Acute Medicine, Cardiology, Diabetes & Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Respiratory Medicine, Rheumatology and Elderly Care.The post will operate at middle-grade level and contribute to the medical middle-grade receiving rota. Time will also be dedicated to learning the skill of point of care echocardiography via the FICE (Focussed Intensive Care Echocardiogram) accreditation. This is a popular specialist skill for trainees in Acute Medicine but is becoming an increasingly valuable tool for all physicians in the acute setting.These posts do not hold educational approval from the Postgraduate Dean and are not recognised for Training. However, e-Portfolio will be funded and supported.To practice medicine in the UK you need to hold both full GMC registration and a licence to practice.
