MBA are again excited to be working alongside an industry heavyweight in their search for an Insurance Team Manager working in their claims department based in Glasgow.This role has responsibility for managing a dedicated team of claims handlers dealing with Insurance claims in a fast paced and demanding environment.We are looking for a forward thinking, people-orientated individual that has demonstrated strong leadership skills to improve team dynamics and ensure best in class client service is achieved.The main focus of the role will include managing the day to day operation of the team - including productivity, people performance, and client service requirements.A very attractive remuneration package is available to attract the best candidates.Key Responsibilities:- Develop, motivate and performance manage the team to ensure maximum engagement and operational effectiveness- Manage the client relationship effectively by ensuring the team understand client requirements, deliver to SLAs and achieve KPIs- Create and utilise quantitative and qualitative MI to monitor and drive standards of performance within the team- Develop and manage individual Personal Development Plans to enhance individual and team performance- Drive individual and team performance through effective use of performance management tools and techniques- Act as a customer champion by monitoring standards of call performance and seeking feedback to enhance the customer journeyWhat we need you to demonstrate:- Excellent people management skills in order to performance manage, motivate and lead the team- Excellent analytical and decision making ability in order to analyse complex information correctly and make sound decisions to support business needs- Excellent organisation skills to deliver high standards - time, cost, quality, efficiency and value- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate in a concise and open manner- Excellent customer service / client relation skills to manage relationships and provide effective dispute resolution- Strong influencing skills in order to energise others and get the job done- Strong financial literacy skills to utilise financial reporting information and insurance performance measures in the management of claims.- Proven efficiency in IT applications (Prime, Lotus Notes, MS Word, MS Excel)General Background, Experience & Professional Qualifications:- Proven experience of team management within the insurance sector, either from a call centre, broking or insurer environment with a good understanding of FSA procedures and TCF initiatives.
