Job Description

Purpose of the RoleTo provide a secure, clean welcoming and safe environment at our multi-story car park and shopping Centre for all our customers, colleagues, retailers, visitors and key stakeholders. To act as an Ambassador of Buchanan Galleries and be a visual presencethrough site patrols, always delivering a consistently high standard of service and ensuring that our customers experience, whilst visiting, goes above and beyond expectation.You will also be expected to ensure the smooth running of the car park and assist in any emergency situation which may occur. Provide visible security cover, as well handling customer enquiries, monitoring CCTV and controlling contractors, and ensure thatthe Centre is run in accordance with all relevant legislation and Company Policies.Key ResponsibilitiesPrincipal Accountabilities:

  1. To work the hours and shifts in accordance with conditions of employment, company policies and legislation.
  2. To carry out duties in accordance to instructions issued by the Car Park Supervisor including undertaking remedial maintenance and cleaning tasks when required.
  3. To carry out patrols making visual inspections with regard to cleanliness, maintenance and safety, report findings to the Car Park Supervisor and take appropriate action where required.
  4. To monitor CCTV within the Car Park Control Room.
  5. To fully comply with the Health and Safety Policy including initiate and record all Health and Safety checks.
  6. To ensure that all car park decks are kept free of slip/trip hazards and control through reporting.
  7. To record all visitors to site, as appropriate.
  8. To monitor fire alarm panel within the control room
  9. To be fully conversant with all alarm systems and initiate any action as required
  10. Keep the car park clean and tidy at all times through litter picking activity.
  11. To monitor the flow of traffic within the car park (both access and egress) and deal with accordingly in conjunction with Car Park Supervisor and Centre Management.
  12. To monitor weather conditions, and with a mind to Health and Safety procedures, deal with accordingly, in conjunction with Car Park Supervisor and Centre Management.
  13. Undertake snow/frost clearing duties including snow shoveling and salt spreading.
  14. Be fully conversant with Savills cash handling for the control and secure handling of any cash.

To answer the telephone in a polite and courteous manner being confident in the agreed method of handling customer telephone enquiries to the Bronze Standard of Savills Customer Service Programme.6. To deal with customers at the Control Room service window being confident in the agreed method of dealing with customer enquiries to the Bronze Standard of Savills Customer Service Programme.7. To handle customer complaints in a timeous, professional and courteous manner.Health & Safety and Security:1. Participate in emergency situations, including fire and bomb incidents2. Comply with the general requirements of Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.3. Comply with the companys Health & Safety and emergency procedures.Additional Responsibilities1. Attend any training and development courses as necessary.2. Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures.3. Undertake any other reasonable duties as required to meet the needs of the business.4.Working irregular hours if required in order to suit the needs of the business.Site Benefits

  • In order to comply with the Security Industry Act 2001, officers must hold a valid SIA Security and CCTV Licence
