The aim of the PCIP is to free up workload of GPs so that they focus on their role as expert medical generalists and will promote the longer term sustainability of primary care. The PCIP also forms part of the Moving Forward Together Programme.The PCIP is focused on improving the quality of patient care. However, an effective Business Support Assistant will support the programme manager to promote the best use of the substantial resources that are being made available by the Scottish Government to support the PCIPThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator who is a team player with a flexible approach to their work. The ability to appropriately prioritise and manage a busy and varied workload is a pre requisite for the job.Your responsibilities will vary, however you should expect your day to day duties to include diary management, meeting coordination, minute taking and to act as the first point of contact for all enquiries received by telephone, mail or in person.Diplomacy, discretion and the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels and professions both internally and externally to the organisation are essential qualities for this post.You must show knowledge of working in an office environment and of operation of office equipment and systems.
