Job Description

Business Client Advisor Glasgow Top 25 firmHybrid working & Hot-desking opportunities are available A well-known, Top 25 leading Chartered Accountancy firm is looking to expand its Business Advisory team in Glasgow on a full-time or part-time basis. This is an exciting time to join this accountancy firm as they are in a great period of growth and are expanding all teams across their Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Belfast offices.The RoleAs a Business Services Advisor, you will be joining the Business Advisory team and working alongside very experienced accountants and will be a Business Services Advisor. This firm works with a wide variety of clients ranging from small limited companiesto rapid growing SMEs in Scotland. You will undertake a broad role across the accounting function to ensure that the delivery of client commitments is met.As a Business Services Advisor, your role will include:

  • Prepare accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders using various accounting software programmes, including cloud packages
  • Review and submission of VAT returns
  • To work as part of a team servicing a broad-ranging portfolio of accounting clients
  • Providing systems advice to clients, evolving into systems conversion, implementation, setup & training.
  • Liaising with clients meeting targets and meeting deadlines to ensure a high level of client service is delivered.
  • Identifying issues and taking a proactive approach to reach solutions.
  • Mentoring the junior members of the team and supporting the managers in achieving department targets.
On Offer:The full-time salary will be up to £30,000 P.A (depending on experience and qualification). If Part-Qualified, this firm is willing to provide study support and offer hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office. This firm also offers hot desking from otheroffices too.Requirements:
  • You must have 2.5-year minimum experience working in a similar Accounts role within a firm
  • Experience in preparing accounts to review stage
  • Experience in using cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage, IRIS or Quickbooks
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must be comfortable liaising with client personnel
  • Must be able to meet relevant deadlines
  • Must be able to prioritise work and work to tight deadlines
