As our Business Development Executive,you will supportthe sales team to proactively win new clients and revenue for the company. To do this, the role requires excellent customer service to all clients, prospect clients, internal and externalcustomers. You will assist the sales team to maximise business opportunities by using best practice and take ownership of Forward Finance deals and deliver the required target of Forward Finance deals and minimum income.Your responsibilities as our Business Development Executive will include:
  • Supportingthe core BDMs including construction and niche product specialists, where appropriate support to corporate managers should be given to aid individual development
  • Achievingsales team targets of new deals and minimum fees; attending joint sales meetings with BDMs and prospective clients; researching prospects; completingfile notes following first meetings; completingrisk templates for sanction of the facilityin conjunction with the BDMs
  • Originating and deliveringForward Finance deals
  • Developingknowledge and understanding of the asset-based finance industry including Bibby products and services, clients, competitors, introducers, risks, client industry and markets
  • Supporting and liaisingwith the sales team to fully understand legal documents, demonstrating an ability to raise documentation and complete sign ups with the prospect
  • Maintaining and updatingCRM and Olympus to ensure that records are kept in a timely manner
  • Promoting and representing the Bibby brand and services
  • Building and maintainingnew relationships with introductory sources for example lapsed introducers, financial brokers, insolvency practitioners, accountants, banks, clients etc
  • Attendingnetworking events and identifying and securingopportunities for new business and contactsthese must not take preference to a new business sales meeting with a BDM
What we are looking for in our ideal Business Development Executive:
  • Proven experience of working in a customer-focused environment
  • Numeracy and literacy skills
  • IT skills - in particular, Excel
  • Customer service skills
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • The ability to work alone whilst being a team player
