Job Description

Business AnalystPertemps Scotland Ltd are working with our client in Glasgow to recruit for a Business Analyst in the Public Sector on a temporary basis for 6 Months with potential extension. Due to current circumstances this role will be based remotely. Day rate: £390 - £470 (Outside IR35)An experienced Business Analyst is required to inform the design and delivery of a new digital register.Essential

  • Confident facilitating detailed collaborative workshops with customers and established cross-functional teams
  • Working knowledge of Agile approaches in the design and delivery of digital services
  • Experience mapping stakeholders, impact, processes, and land registration value streams
  • Experienced in Business Canvas Modelling, Value Proposition Design or Wardley map techniques
  • Working knowledge of digital standards in government; D1 assessments and the GDS framework.
  • Desirable
  • Presenting and conversing on land registration concepts
  • Experience of Registers of Scotland registration process
  • Experience with prioritisation techniques such as cost of delay or similar
  • An understanding of systems architectures in transition
  • Familiarity with creation of conceptual wireframes
  • Use of Personas, customer journeys and service blueprints
  • Background in lean UX, six-sigma, system thinking approaches or similar
  • Formal qualification with IIBA or similar body
  • The main duties would be:Strategic
  • Set direction that aligns with the business outcomes
  • Lead in the identification, evaluation and tracking of project benefits for the outcomes and objectives stated
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Identify new process and customer opportunities
  • Support the development teams Product and Agile leads in both their tactical and strategic work to help ensure the product delivery teams deliver solutions that work for customers and the organisation
  • Collaborate with the communication and organisational design professionals to assist in helping to reduce the impact of change
  • Confident in engaging stakeholders and working with established governance forums such as the technical design authority
  • Process
  • Improving the customer experience of submission
  • Improve the utility of the data captured
  • Optimising and simplifying process e.g.
  • operational workflow for settling applications
  • automating applications, if and where possible
  • Maintaining an audit trail of decisions, assumptions and outstanding questions
  • Collaborate with the business change teams to identify and help remove issues that may hinder the adoption of new processes or ways of working

  • Actively participate in Business Analysis Practice, sharing best practice techniques
