Job Title: Business Analyst - SOXLocation: Edinburgh or Glasgow Duration: 6 Months Pay Rate: £496 per day Via umbrella inside IR35My high-profile banking client are recruiting for a Business Analyst (SOX) on a 6-month contracting position. The role is a Hybrid role which will require the candidate to work 3 days within the Edinburgh or Glasgow office and 2 days at home Monday to Friday.Security Operations provides the Group with a secure operating environment, safe from malicious attacks or abuse of privileged access, and promotes the secure use of IT across the Group. It is a complex and continually evolving world where our knowledge andefforts deliver tangible results.Key CapabilitiesAgile delivery experience is crucial. Youll play a pivotal role in influencing Product Owners to ensure our user stories are robust and rational prioritisation of the backlog is in place to drive efficient sprint cadence. This requires skills performing thewhat and why but also establishing the how for ways of working, people behaviours and embedding the Banks agile agenda.Behaviours & Proficiencies* Superb communicator, dynamic and adaptable self-starter with the ability to use and learn new skills.* Confident and collaborative interpersonal style.* Youll be able to balance conflicting demands whilst delivering to tight timescales.* Good influencing and negotiating skills and not afraid to challenge thinking.* Ability to facilitate efficient and effective decision-making discussions ensuring all parties feel understood and satisfied.* Thrives in an open, energetic, and constantly evolving work environment.* Deep understanding of Scrum methodology.* Knowledge & Experience* Proven track record delivering complicated IT projects.* We consider previous risk, cyber security, privileged access management, or SOx experience advantageous.* Ability to analyse data and provide insightful information, mentorship, and advice to influence prioritisation decisions.* Provide technical guidance and advice for remediation of internal control gaps.* Understanding of business analysis practice, modelling business processes and business architecture methodologies particularly analytical thinking and problem-solving including SWOT, PESTLE and MOST.* Key Accountabilities* Understands our business problems quickly and supporting Agile delivery of solutions.* Facilitating requirement discussions with key stakeholders to ensure decisions are made and understood by all parties.* Validates requirements and proposes solutions with partners to gain approval.* Facilitate managing the backlog, working collaboratively with the Product Owners and the delivery teams to ensure consistent understanding of the proposed solution and assist with elaboration, sprint planning activities etc.* Supporting Feature Team with testing preparation, automation and acceptance testing to ensure the solution meets the identified business need and compliance with Group policies and all SOx, regulatory and statutory requirements.* Produce management information on progress of remediation activities.Please be advised if you havent heard from us within 48 hours then unfortunately your application has not been successful on this occasion, we may however keep your details on file for any suitable future vacancies and contact you accordingly.Pontoon is an employment consultancy and operates as an equal opportunities employer.
