As a Barclays BARX FX Options Senior C++ Developer, you will join an organisation that thrives on collaboration, relationship building, and transparency. What will you be doing Collaborating with BAs and PMs, technical leads, QA testers and Quantitative Developers, to design, develop and deliver solutions Where required, working closely with Front Office Traders to understand new Trading requirements, give demos of ongoing deliverables during development lifecyle Collaborating with Sales and Traders to understand new Client requirements, and provide the ability to develop and deliver those solutions Working to own business outcomes from inception, requirements analysis, impact analysis and technical design, development and eventual delivery Documenting new requirements in JIRA and progress them as deliverables within the team Pro-actively participating in the wider BARX FX technical community on strategic platform enhancement initiatives, being an active participant in technical discussion What were looking for: Excellent C++ 14 and above, programming skills with good knowledge of STL and Boost Deep knowledge and experience of working with Quantitative Libraries on derivative based financial products Extensive knowledge and experience of developing low-latency trading systems In-depth knowledge of multi-threading development and performance tuning techniques Skills that will help you in the role: Experience designing and developing real time high frequency front office trading systems Experience of working with a micro service architecture and grid compute technologies Excellent academic record with a numerate degree (2:1 or higher) - e.g. computer science, math, physics, engineering Full-lifecycle development of at least 1 large commercial system, focusing on development of high-frequency trading or pricing systems in Options space Where will you be workingOur new state-of-the-art Campus, right in the heart of Glasgow is a hub of creative collaboration.
