Job Description

Backshift Team Lead / Dumbarton / Whisky / £30KWould you like the chance to work a 4 day week Are you the type of person to see a difficult challenge as an opportunity rather than an obstacle How about the chance to join a trusted partner of prestigious brands across the Whisky industry Lastly, wouldyou like to join a business undergoing an ambitious development plan that involves getting outstanding individuals into the company for the long haulPurpose of role: To support the bottling production teams on backshift to ensure the highest standards of health & safety and quality are met, whilst achieving customer service levels and production targets. A key part of the role is engaging withthe team and encouraging a continuous improvement mindset. It is imperative that this role sets and displays world class behavioural standards. The role is 12.15-10.15 Mon-Thu.Are you who were looking for

  • You are self-motivated and can work autonomously
  • You enjoy coaching and engaging other team members
  • You possess high level organisation skills and are comfortable making important decisions
  • You have a technical background in FMCG across drinks, food or packaging
  • You implement 5s and other GMP practices into your work
  • You are an excellent people manager and are a confident and considerate communicator
  • You enjoy implementing change, new processes and continuous improvement
  • You are computer literate
  • You understand the importance of processes such as SIC and OEE
What the day to day could look like
  • Looking after operators on backshift including training and developing
  • Communicating the production plan through the team and helping hit KPIs
  • Supporting production manager on absences, investigations and 1 to 1s
  • Covering operator duties when needed on an ad hoc basis
  • Being a role model from a Health & Safety perspective; ensuring all relevant procedures are followed, risk assessments are carried out and near misses/accidents recorded and corrected for in the future
  • Encouraging an attention to Quality
  • Supporting in the completion of SOPs and competence-based training, ensuring that all relevant stakeholders are informed and sign off is completed in a timely manner regarding competence
