Job Description

They work with clients across various sectors, so you will be exposed to many interesting projects, allowing you to develop your career.As a result of their strategic growth plan, we have been tasked with searching for an ambitious AWS Architect to join our client’s talented delivery team. Playing a key role working on transformational projects, the successful candidate will have an ability to architect, design and develop AWS cloud solutions for our client’s customers.Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Representing our client at pre-sales meetings allowing you to understand client requirements
  • Performing expert-level advice and needs analysis
  • Undertaking AWS Well-Architected reviews
  • Leading both high-level and low-level designs, fully documenting the solutions and gaining approval from customers
  • Developing technical roadmaps for future AWS cloud implementations and the client journey
  • Developing business case analysis on potential projects
  • Ensuring security is integrated into all cloud architecture solutions
  • Performing advanced systems modelling, simulation, and analysis
  • Acting as a subject-matter expert to multiple tasks and/or programs
  • Performing expert-level systems AWS development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, cloud architecture analysis and design, and systems engineering
  • Auditing and recommending upgrades to solutions based on current and future requirements
    • CANDIDATE BRIEFOur ideal candidate will possess a proactive attitude and will be confident working independently when required, allowing you to turn objectives into outcomes. You will be highly organised with strong attention to detail and an ability to work to tight deadlines.This role will require travel to client sites as well as other company offices and involves engagement with clients and prospective clients all points in the client lifecycle.We would like to hear from candidates who have:
  • A strong understanding of core Amazon infrastructure including EC2, S3, ELB, Auto scaling, RDS, VPC, Security Groups, NACLs, IAM, Cloud Formation & Route53
  • A good understanding of the AWS Well Architected Framework
  • Knowledge of End User Compute (EUC) technologies, e.g. Amazon WorkSpaces, Citrix, RDS
  • Knowledge of microservice based architectures
  • Experience working in a DevOps environment
  • Windows Server (2012 R2 and later) experience
  • Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP design and implementation experience
  • An ability to present confidently in external group and client settings
  • AWS Solution Architect Associate certification or higher
    • The following would also be desirable:
  • Familiarity with Linux server
  • Familiarity with Identity Management technologies
  • Experience working with AWS in a serverless context (e.g. use of AWS SAM, Serverless, CodeCommit, CodeDeploy, CloudFormation, API Gateway, Cognito, Lambda, DynamoDB)
  • Experience using development tools such as JIRA, GIT, Jenkins, Maven and SonarQube
  • Familiarity with software tools which automate or assist part of the development build process
  • Proven implementation experience using Java and Node.js
  • Hands-on experience of containerisation technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes and ECS
  • Experience in configuration management and automation tools such as Chef or Ansible
