Job Description

Are you a Business Analyst seeking an Assistant Vice President level opportunity within a major global investment bankThis exciting opportunity, based out of the Glasgow office, but offering hybrid working, offers the successful candidate the chance to work in a business regarded as a leader in its field, working with the latest technologies.As AVP - Business Analysis, you will work across a range of projects, supporting numerous areas of the bank and will enjoy strong career development opportunities.Key responsibilities of the AVP - Business Analysis include:- performing detailed data analytics for specialist applications- managing internal domain analysis for one or more components of the Products and Investments Technology stack- working closely with the business to manage functional change and with wider programmes to drive regulatory and strategic firm driven change- define analysis approach in line with the strategic vision of the programme and the preferred methodology of the organisation.- working across multiple smaller projects providing analysis and technical knowledge to the projects.- demonstrate team work ethic and dynamic attitude through effective interaction with all people involved in the IMST programme- articulate and present commercial effectiveness of requirement proposals within a project or initiative.- face off to one or many business areas/SMEs understanding high level requirements and challenging where necessary.- work independently to elicit, validate and document systems requirements in either BRDs or user/feature stories depending on the SDLC in use by the development teams- participation in the design process coordinated by the Programme Management team, from Design approval to functional design completion - help to ensure the functionality/benefits envisaged are delivered- support the Testing Strategy and input into the coverage of Test scenarios and conditions ensuring all requirements in scope are tested- where applicable work with functional or business areas and SMEs to plan migrations of users and or transactions- participate in helping to perform system training for new users, or when new functionality is released- provide expert knowledge to aid RTB in issue resolution- typically faces off to VP / D level stakeholders.- considers the impact of their actions and decisions on key stakeholders, seeking to deliver a positive outcome for those involved- negotiate and solicit engagement and support at all levels of the organisation, particularly where support is low or challenging.- raise awareness to Project Managers of dependencies on systems outside of area of responsibility.- adapt to changing requirements, re-prioritising and changing course as necessary.- actively supports their team in maximising the effective use of time, resource and budget management- apply evaluative judgement and analytical skills to operate effectively within a complex and changing environment- ensures they understand the requirements and perspectives of stakeholders and integrate into their understanding of complex situations- demonstrates a broad understanding of how the bank operates and the metrics used to measure performance- seeks the advice of stakeholders to better clarity in complex situations, understand problems, evaluate options and make decisions- ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Policies and Policy StandardsFor further information, please call mark Wood on .If your CV is not up-to-date, please do not worry, as assistance can be given.SThree are committed to ensuring equal opportunities, fairness of treatment, dignity, work-life balance and the elimination of all forms of discrimination in the workplace for all staff and job applicants.
