This post is a good opportunity for those with a generic support worker experience to specialise.It is an exciting time to join Scottish Autism as we adopt the coaching and mentoring model of support with supported people at the centre of everything we do.We are recruiting Autism Practitioners within our West of Scotland Region to work alongside the Senior Autism Practitioner and team members to develop personalised support plans as well as building positive relationships and working in partnership with thesupported individuals, their families, health professionals and other stakeholders to ensure the supported individuals life goals and aspirations are at the centre of their support.As an Autism Practitioner, experience of working within social care is desirable but not essential as we are seeking to appoint people who share our values and have an interest in building relationships. We will support you to learn and develop within the roleand offer an extensive autism specific training programme.On a day to day basis, Autism Practitioners enable supported individuals to take part in their chosen activities, maintain their tenancies and support them to make the decisions that matter to them.
