Job Description

Meraki Talent have been engaged to assist with the onboarding of an Insolvency Assistant Manager for their Chartered Accountancy client in Central Glasgow. The CompanyOur client is one of Scotlands oldest and most well-established Chartered Accountancy firms. They have been leading the way across the Scottish marketplace for over 100 years and do not look like stopping any time soon. They currently provide Accountancy services in the fields of Audit, Business Advisory, Corporate Finance, Financial Planning, Insolvency and Tax. They now seek to add to their growing Corporate Asset team with an Insolvency Assistant Manager. The RoleThe role of Insolvency Assistant Manager has become available as the business goes through a sustained period of growth across several of its service channels, making this an exciting time to join a leading practice. As an Insolvency Assistant Manager, you will report directly to the Senior Manager within the Corporate Asset team. You will be fully responsible for your own caseload, whilst leading a team of junior Administrators to manage both client and management expectations whilst working to tight deadlines. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the management of a busy team
  • Providing guidance and sharing best practice on complex matters
  • Mentoring, coaching, and guiding junior members of staff
  • Reviewing processes and systems and implementation of appropriate improvements
  • Managing complex sequestration caseloads
  • Identifying and investigating transactions
  • Recall of sequestration where and when required
  • As an Insolvency Assistant Manager, you will manage a portfolio of corporate cases, maintain a busy case diary which you shall progress where appropriate. You will be expected to develop business opportunities where appropriate and support marketing campaigns to ensure the smooth delivery of company and department content. You will be a client focused individual and a natural leader who can work effectively as part of a team as well as possessing the ability to lead from the front and share best practice within your team. ExperienceFor the role Insolvency Assistant Manager, the below criteria are Essential.
  • Insolvency industry experience in a Supervisory/Team Lead/Management position
  • Previous experience of selling assets within personal insolvency
  • Proven track record within personal & corporate insolvency
  • CPI/CPPI or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Microsoft Office packages such as Outlook, Excel & Word
  • Fact-finding and excellent investigation techniques
  • Consistent delivery under challenging circumstances
