Due to continued success a position has arisen for an Assistant Estimator to join Skyform Specialist Contracts Ltd, a principle contractor specialising in structural repair, refurbishment and roofing of commercial and residential properties across Scotland.Joining a reputable team, this long established company offers a great opportunity and will be ideal for someone who thrives on a busy work schedule and learning new things.Working closely with the Contracts Manager and Quantity Surveyor, this role will allow you to build experience of all pricing aspects across a variety of projects. You will be responsible for preparation of tenders with assistance from the pre-constructionteam, carrying out a site inspection and prepare a reports, liaising with the supply chain and reviewing quotations received, preparing priced document/bill of quantities, attending both internal and external tender review meetings, updating and maintainingtender registers with projects won/ lost and providing general assistance as needed.What can you expect They distinguish themselves from their competitors and recognises the importance of their workforce, and have a strong commitment to career development.What do you need to applyPrevious experience in a surveying or estimating role or a recent qualification in a construction related course.Excellent numeracy skillsA good working knowledge of pricing and quantification methodsStrong communication and personal skills, and the ability to form effective relationships with colleagues and third parties.Renumeration - £18,000 - £25,000 PA DOE28 days paid holidays per year (including Public)Contributory Company Pension SchemeWorking Hours Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 3.45pm with a 45 minute lunch break (40hrs per week)
