Job Description

Area Sales Manager - Roofing Systems & ConservatoriesJob Title: Area Sales Manager - Roofing Systems & ConservatoriesIndustry Sector: Roofing systems, lanterns, windows, doors, conservatories, associated products, window retail, home improvement sector and double glazing companiesArea to be covered: Scotland, North East & Ireland - based ScotlandRemuneration: £35,000 Neg. + 10%-25% BonusBenefits: BMW 3 series or Audi A4 car or car allowance + full benefits packageThe role of the Area Sales Manager - Roofing Systems & Conservatories will involve:

  • Field sales role selling the design and manufacture of conservatory and solid/ tiles roofing systems
  • Selling into window retailers and home improvement/ double glazing companies
  • Responsible for circa 100 active spending accounts and circa £3m-£5m turnover
  • Inheriting an area which has historically performed well against budget expectations and is only available due to an internal promotion
  • Tasked with growing the area by approx. 18%
  • 40% of your time will focus on generating new accounts via the windows, doors and conservatory sales channel, 40% winning business from existing accounts and 20% reactivating lapsing or dormant accounts
  • Average order value between £2,000 and £2,500
  • Producing sales and activity reports
  • 80% of your time will be spent in Scotland, 20% split between Ireland and the North East of England
    • The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Roofing Systems & Conservatories with:
  • Previous experience of having sold into the window retail, home improvement or double glazing marketplace
  • Field sales proven track record from an the conservatory roof or window industry related background
  • Comfortable selling high end, value added aspirational lifestyle products
  • Excellent field sales organisation shills
  • Target driven and ambition
  • Strong account management and new business prospecting ability
  • Tonnes of "get up and go"
