Job Description

Their in-depth understanding of their clients and commitment to providing exceptional standards of service have seen them become a trustedadviser to local and global corporates, financial institutions and governments in all areas of commercial law.Ashurst has established a Global Delivery Centre known as Ashurst Service Central (ASC) to provide professional support services to teams of lawyers and support staff operating across the world.They have an opening for an Apprentice Data Coodinator to work with an established centralised reporting team, during an exciting period of transformation. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to expand their skillset and build a strong foundationin all aspects of data analysis, report production and insight generation.Ashurst have worked with QA for a number of years now, supporting over 20 talented individuals through their apprenticeship programmes across various departments. The business operates out of 16 countries, with over 3000 staff across 26 offices.Interested Apply Today!Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the refresh and delivery of existing, automated reporting activities, ensuring all reports are delivered accurately and on time via Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
  • Mine large datasets and appropriately categorise, cleanse and sort via Excel and PowerQuery.
  • Extract data from other systems like Oracle Fusion, 3E and TM1.
  • Respond to ad-hoc, low risk requests for data and management information, in line with agreed standards.
  • Support the gathering and documentation of data and report requirements.
  • Support the capturing, validation and documentation of all data definitions.
  • Support data cleansing activities, helping to review datasets and correct data errors in source systems.
  • Analyse information to identify any potential data risks and escalate where necessary.
  • Support administrative activities associated with the reporting strategy including updating action plans and documenting processes.
  • Employ a diplomatic and tactful approach when liaising with internal and external clients.
Risk and Control: Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with our regulatory requirements and internal policies.Required Skills:
  • Beginner level Excel skills.
  • A strong analytical mindset.
  • Interested in design and presenting information in an easy to interpret format.
  • Passionate about data including data mining, categorisation, report production, insight generation and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and strong time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness are essential.
  • Poised and self-confident, not afraid to speak up.
  • Exceptional eye for detail coupled with an analytical mind and inclination for problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently and use initiative.
Additional Information:
  • Salary - £14,040 per annum
  • Salary will be discussed should you secure a permanent role at the end of your apprenticeship.
  • Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm
