And with our commitment to now produce all of our energy from renewable resources, our opportunities to innovate are only just beginningPurposeEmbarking on a major IT Transformation project to drive change throughout our businesses, were looking for an experienced Digital Applications Analyst to contribute to the development and realisation of our IT strategy. You will deliver expertise the development and deployment of new digital technologies aimed at exploiting the opportunities from modern IOT solutions and coordinate/deliver 3L application support. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality application solutions are configured/developed and thoroughly tested and successfully implemented and ensure application solutions being delivered align with business requirements.Skills & Requirements Degree educated in Computer Science or related STEM discipline or equivalent experience * Experience in Hardware, Security and Network communication protocols in the development and deployment of IoT Solutions.* Solid Java background required. Must have strong core java skills (in delivering Java/J2EE based applications) and Spring Framework.Knowledge of other stacks like .Net, Python, PHP, Rails, or NodeJS is definite a plus.Hands on experience with Web Applications UI and programming languages with skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, JQuery and APIs.Knowledge of advanced JS Frameworks such as React, AngularJS, Backbone, Amber, etc. is desired.Exposure to one or more of the following application servers - Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic and WebSphere.Strong knowledge of Data structures.Experience with JSON and RESTful web services is preferred. Knowledge of SOAP and Restful API service design and implementation.Familiarity with relational or NoSQL databases such as MySQL, Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL, HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.).Exposure with source control tools (e.g. Subversion, GIT).Understanding and experience in deploying containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry or equivalent technologiesWhat we OfferThis is a permanent contract offering a salary from £35,360 and a bonus of up to 10%.
