Role: Application Security SpecialistLocation: GlasgowSalary: £80k - £90kOffice Requirement: Hybridrecruiting for a pioneering technology company that spearheaded the introduction of Active Network Management in the UK and is now a leading provider of DERMS software to electrical utilitys across the UK, Europe and North America. they have a customerbase that includes major utilitys including UK power Networks, Western Power Distribution, Consolidated Edison, Hydro One and Southern California. they also control over 500MW or renewable generation from Wind turbines to Electric Vehicles across their customerterritories.You would report directly to the Director of Information Security.Your Day to Day would include:Ensuring that application security is embedded in to the software delivery life-cycleSupport secure product architecture and design functionsLead and facilitate application security reviews and threat modellingplan and deliver security training in secure coding techniques.Working with the Dev Ops team in the development of automated security testingDevelop, maintain and exercise regular vulnerability analysis and security auditing of productsSkills and required experience:experience of web application securityexperience of security tools such as static/dynamic analysis and common security toolsgood understanding of secure codingunderstanding of cryptography and TLS certificate life-cycle ManagementExperience with agile software development practices and methodologysUnderstanding of network and web related protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS, Protocols.experience with industrial Protocols is desirableexcellent Communication skills with ability to communicate technical topics.Exposure to industry standardsif interested in this role please contact,
