As a Barclays API Developer, youll be accountable for managing Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) component Delivery for our Customer Data Integration platform (CDI). Day to day, youll trouble shoot technical problems, and assess component changes as perFunctional Specification and Furnish Detail Design. Well look to you to coach and mentor Junior ETL developers, whilst managing strategic initiatives with respect to ETL in accordance with the Corporate Banking Technology Roadmap, and Governance & ComplianceEnvironment. What will you be doing Developing Data Warehouse/CDI ETL components for key programmes, and managing ETL Delivery Producing detail design of ETL components, conducting reviews and leading the development Supporting end to end delivery during testing cycles, and live implementation Working closely with the developer team to allocate tasks and conduct code reviews and activities of implementation phase Actively promoting best practices for design, development, implementation and automation Prioritising live issues, problem records and delivering fixes What were looking for: A graduate in Engineering (BE/B-TEC) Experience in the IT industry Proficient in Abinitio ETL Tool and Unix Shell Scripting Previous exposure to, or experience with Oracle DB / SQL+ and Linux Skills that will help you in the role: API design skills and front-end development Different coding languages Integration knowledge Cross-platform development Where will you be workingOur new state-of-the-art Campus, right in the heart of Glasgow is a hub of creative collaboration.
