Job Description

Our client, a well known Public Sector organisation based in Glasgow City Centre, requires an experienced Administrator on a temporary basis until end of March 2021. The salary for the position is £10.59 per hour, working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.Main purpose of role:To assist the teams within the HR department with all administration tasks includingproviding initial query resolution, first level advice and support to managers and employees, whereappropriate, following the policies and procedures and providing comprehensive reports tosupport the business requirements.Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

  • Support all administrative stages of the recruitment and selection process including all onboarding activities
  • Supporting all administrative stages of the employment journey in accordance with the policies and procedures e.g. occupational health referrals, absence management etc
  • Record management, managing systems and providing comprehensive reports
  • Managing mailboxes and telephones, responding to queries and providing first level advice and support (where appropriate) to a range of customers and stakeholders at all levels
  • Co-ordinating events (including off site) and meetings including scheduling meetings, preparing documentation, taking minutes/notes, monitoring follow up actions and distributing papers
  • Keeping the intranet up to date
  • Key Skills and Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 2 qualification or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in a general office role, for example typing, administration and secretarial
  • High level of interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
  • Customer service skills, with a helpful, flexible attitude
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft packages (eg Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Able to prioritise own workload and work to deadlines
  • Fast and Accurate typing skills
  • Good communicator
  • Ability to work within a complex and dynamically changing team
  • Discretion and confidentiality
  • Numerate
  • Ability to prioritise and work on own initiative
  • Good organisational skills
