Job Description

Michael Page are delighted to be partnered with the Glasgow Clan Ice Hockey Institution to recruit an Accountant. This exciting role is suited to a Qualified Accountant and you will be expected to develop and maintain positive working relationships withall on-ice and off-ice staff and take pride in being part of an elite sports organisation. Technically the role will have a range of responsibilities, as well, as planning and strategy work.Client DetailsSince its establishment in 2010, the Glasgow Clan has consistently showcased their prowess on the ice, competing at the highest levels of the sport. Their commitment to excellence has been rewarded with several notable achievements, including multiple playoffappearances and triumphs in prestigious tournaments. The Clans dedication to teamwork, resilience, and exceptional talent has firmly established them as a force to be reckoned with in the ice hockey world.DescriptionThe successful candidate will likely have the following responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the organisations funding and capital structure to work with the Managing Director to put appropriate finance in place to support sustainable growth.
  • Provide strategic business support to the board / senior management team.
  • Oversee the companys fiscal activity and manage all finances.
  • Provide financial insight and analysis to support effective decision-making.
  • Identify and address financial risks and opportunities for the business.
  • Establish and maintain effective procedures and controls.
  • Cash-flow forecasting and management.
ProfileThe successful candidate will likely have the following profile:
  • Must be a qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Post qualification work exp in a role with proven experience in the management of finance function.
  • Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
  • Exceptional administration and organisational skills.
  • Strong communications, verbal & written skills.
  • Demonstrate project management and leadership skills with the ability to delegate, motivate and inspire team members.
Job OfferThis role will offer a competitive salary between £45,000-£55,000 plus benefits for the successful candidate.
