Job Description

Account and New Business Development Manager - Catering / Hospitality Equipment Role Summery To successfully coordinate and manage the design, sales, and administration of projects, maintaining margins and quality standards to always deliver maximum customer satisfaction. Develop new sales opportunities and build relationships with key stakeholderswithin ALP core customers, local authorities, and main contractors.Person Spec:

  • Excellent Computer skills - Microsoft word, Excel, Office, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of CDM awareness, health &safety guidelines, and best practice guidelines. AutoCAD knowledge is preferable.
Role
  • To work with line manager to explore sales opportunities and facilitate and deliver projects across the Scottish region, in line with office sales target and GP margin within agreed timescales.
  • Develop business relations with core customers to drive new business opportunities.
  • Aim to achieve the desired business mix of 80% core customers & 20% local authorities/main contractors.
  • Take comprehensive client brief including site survey measurements and details.
  • Develop and communicate brief to CAD/estimator to produce competent design and quotation.
  • Demonstrate effective sales techniques and commercial acumen when negotiating with clients to win new business.
  • Demonstrate flexibility within the sector team in relation to allocated projects.
  • Handover projects competently and in a timely manner to the order progress team and contracts managers once order received.
  • Some out of hour’s work is required due the nature of the customers.
  • Actively enhance GP margin using negotiating skills with suppliers and sub-contractors.
  • Contribute to achieving debtor day targets by prompt resolution of customer issues affecting payment.
  • Carry out all necessary work in progress meetings with customers, admin team and line manager keeping records of comments and actions.
  • Attend one to one reviews, team meetings and identify specific training requirements, complete in a timely manner.
  • Always demonstrate awareness for colleagues and internal customer’s needs. Strictly adhere to employee rules, Design quality manual and corporate policies.
  • Submit activity reports and expense claims as requested by line manager.
  • Ensure all goods and services are provided in line with client trading agreements and stage payments received / cleared.
  • Manage the timely resolution of supplier queries ensuring effective communication with order progress/CAD / Contracts where possible.
  • Deliver professional Presentations to customers/key stakeholders when required.
  • Continually be focused on maximum customer satisfaction utilising high levels of communication both verbally and written.
