Fantastic Opportunity to work in NHS National Services Scotland National Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infection (ARHAI) Scotland, part of National Services Scotland,Healthcare Scientist (Epidemiology)4 Permanent PostsWhy not consider an opportunity to work as a Healthcare Scientist within National Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infection (ARHAI) Scotland, part of National Services Scotland, we work in partnership to deliver Health Protection services which enable and support a safer and healthier Scotland.We are seeking four Healthcare Scientists (Epidemiology), to work in the Antimicrobial Resistance and Healthcare Associated Infection (ARHAI) Group. The ARHAI Group leads and supports efforts to prevent healthcare associated infection by means of guidance development, surveillance, operational support and training, covering areas such as surgical-site surveillance, decontamination, microbiological surveillance, research and infection prevention and control.Generally, the post holders will be required to support consultants, programme leads or senior scientific staff in the provision of specialised information, advice and support to stakeholders. They will assist in the development of a specialised epidemiological knowledge base to underpin one or more health protection programmes of work. This will include the analysis, interpretation and presentation of epidemiological and surveillance data and participation in relevant research activities. The post holders will provide support to the ARHAI Group and collaborate with other groups involved in this area.You will be educated to degree level in a scientific or clinical subject. You will have a proven track record as a team player, excellent planning and organisational skills and well developed analytical skills, including a familiarity with statistical analysis tools e.g. R, SPSS, STATA. Knowledge of the NHS and infectious diseases would be advantageous.
