2nd/3rd Line Engineer Job DescriptionOur client who are an IT Managed Service Provider, providing solutions to businesses and organisations in the Central Belt of Scotland are looking for an experienced 2nd/3rd Line Engineer to join our team and provide technical support to their clients.The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to customer calls to diagnose and resolve technical issues, as well as providing remote and onsite support to clients. This role also involves identifying and escalating client issues, and providingsolutions to clients.The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, be self-motivated, and have excellent problem solving skills.Key Responsibilities:* Respond to customer calls and emails to diagnose and resolve technical issues* Provide remote and onsite support to our clients* Identify client issues and provide solutions* Monitor and maintain systems and networks* Troubleshoot hardware and software issues* Provide helpdesk support* Assist in the development of technical documentation* Assist in the implementation of new systems and technologies* Maintain a high degree of customer service* Ensure team performance targets are metTechnical Skills Required:* Expert knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems* Experience with TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs and other network protocols* Knowledge of virtualisation technologies such as VMWare, Hyper-V and Citrix* Knowledge of storage technologies such as SAN, NAS and RAID* Knowledge of network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs and intrusion detection systems* Knowledge of cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS* Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills* Excellent communication and customer service skills* Ability to work independently and as part of a teamSalary: £200 - £250 Per Day (Outside IR35)Location: Central Belt ScotlandIn Technology Group Ltd is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
