Job Description

1st Line Support - Glasgow (Hybrid) - To 24K plus benefits Loriens client, an award-winning legal firm with several hundred staff and offices across Scotland, are currently looking to add new talent into their function in the shape of a 1st Line / Service Desk Support specialistThis person will take the reins across a range of support-oriented duties, some of which are outlined below, and act as the first point of contact for individuals across the business in remote, desk-side and project-focused capacitiesAs well as a package of up to 24K depending on experience, our client also offers plenty of upskilling opportunities and more, so take a look at the finer details below and let us know your thoughts!An outline of the responsibilities involved:

  • Offering first line support to staff across the organisation
  • Ensuring tickets are prioritised and resolved effectively and professionally
  • Working independently and as part of a dedicated and growing support team
  • Occasionally assisting with relevant projects
  • Learning as you go, and sharing your own knowledge with the team
  • IT systems access control including on and off-boarding management
  • End point asset management incl. laptops/mobiles/storage devices
The skills/knowledge theyre looking for:
  • A background in 1st Line / Service Desk / Helpdesk support, whether youve only recently kickstarted your career, or have been a long-term member of a support team already
  • A confident individual, able to work with personnel at any level across the business
  • Skills across some/all of the following technologies or similar:
  • Multi-Factor Authentication
  • Virtual Private Networks
  • Apple / IOS
  • MobileIron
  • Mimecast
